Description

Thanks and credit for the background of this image above the gras mat go to jrrhack :iconjrrhack: :) (Smile)

I like the Apple family a lot. When I made origamis of their most prominent members my first intention (which I may still realize at some point) was to create a scene resembling one from the song Apples to the core but I wasn't really happy with the way the origami wagon turned out which Big McIntosh would have pulled in that scene, so I went for an apple harvest scene instead.
The origamis of Big Mac and Granny Smith both came with some additional challenges because of their collar respectively scarf and (in case of Big Mac) because of the differently colored hoofes. Big McIntosh also comes with a basic color that makes it impossible to print anything at all on it. So while in case of all the other characters eyes and cutie marks are still printed onto the paper squares I used to fold them (12x12cm in case of Big Mac, 9.5x9.5cm in case of AJ and Granny Smith, 6x6cm in case of Apple Bloom) Big Mac got his eyes and cutie mark printed to the same kind of adhesive labels which I used for the manes and tails of all characters.
I imagine Applejack would be all "Yeehaw!" in this scene, celebrating a fine crop of apples and tossing her hat in celebration.
I have created quite a number of further images with different arrangement of the characters, other background elements and some involving an actual apple. To avoid bloating my account too much I am going to post collages of the other images (with links to the full sized versions of said images) soon.
